This, its a prelude for shooting people...for no real reason.

Cops take heartbreaking action 'every 98 minutes' A rash of animal shootings by police officers nationwide has law-enforcement agencies running for cover amid growing public outrage that could force state legislatures to require greater accountability from men and women in uniform.

Dogs don't vote democrat?

Why???

Because dogs are their competitiors.

They do the job that police are hired to do but seldom do — prevent crime.

A barking dog in a house is enough to deter most criminals — and they don’t call in sick or have work slowdowns or shoot their owners by mistake.

Like Pope Francis said: it’s only a pet.

And he's right.

But that's beside the point. Officers of the State willfully destroying private property without a semblance of just cause, simply because they know they can get away with it, signifies a State which knows no boundaries on its power and has slipped into tyranny.

Abortion is the second biggest killer in modern times. Tyranny is the biggest.

Why are police shooting so many family dogs?

Its to let the peasants know who is boss. They are trained to do this. Who is training the cops? They certainly aren't Christians.

They kill pets because 99.999% of the time, noting will happen to them for doing it.

They have the guns, they have the badge and they are primed and ready for action.

They get psyched up for the take down, the adrenalin rises and they are ready to shoot.

Most of the time they realize they will have a problem killing a person without just cause but a dog is a freebie.

If they can't take out the target they can damage it by killing the family pet.

This is 100% straight up ‘God complex’ where lives can be taken, or spared. Cops are trained to believe they are the deciders of whether people and pets live or die, and it’s okay either way. It’s THEIR decision and theirs alone.

The “pigs”?

I might have gone too far. Calling them pigs is an insult to pigs.

Because they’re cowards and they’ve learned they can get away with it.

Cops arrive stressed and the dogs sense that stress and bark protectively.

Waaaayyyy too many cops shoot just to shut the dog up, when it’s quite clear there is no threat.

Look at the number of stories where the dog was either retreating or confined.

It’s training so they won’t think twice when they are told to gun down citizens.

I’m under the impression that police officers have to fill out reports every time they fire their weapon. Wouldn’t the bean counters in Internal Affairs be suspicious of a whole lot of “accidental discharge” reports, let alone a bunch of “had to shoot threatening dog” reports?

“Willy Pete”

“The West Virginia incident happened June 24 in a rural area of Mason County. A paramilitary unit scoured the woods bordering the property of 32-year-old Ginger Sweat. Her dog, a 6-year-old beagle-basset hound named Willy Pete, woke up from an afternoon snooze on his porch to the sound of eight officers coming out of the adjacent woods. Willy Pete scampered off to investigate. Sweat, who was putting one of her two young children down for a nap, looked out the window and saw an officer with a police dog on a leash emerge from the woods and ran out outside pleading with the officers not to shoot her dog, begging them to let her bring it inside.”

The officer shot once, missing Willy Pete but sending the dog, which had arthritis in its back legs, running back toward Sweat, she told the Charleston Daily Mail. Three more shots were fired in the dog’s direction, toward Sweat and the home where her two children were sleeping, Sweat told the local newspaper. Willy Pete was hit three times and fell dead in a pool of blood behind her mobile home.”

I will play Devils Advocate for the cops, for just a moment. Most of these dogs are not lap dogs, poodles, golden retrievers or beagles. They are typically pit bulls, rottweilers or pit bull mix breeds. Most of them were bred to be aggressive(ie KILL or fight things). Many people that have certain breeds get them because of the tough, bad boy image. These dogs have been bred for the last 1000 years to fight BULLS or other animals. All terriers were bred to hunt vermin and KILL it. They are aggressive by nature. Even a Jack Russell Terrier was bred to go down in a hole and kill a rodent.

If you were on a burglary call or drug bust in the hood and a 75-100# dog came running at you, what would you do?

I think the problem starts with the dogs owner.
