Wouldn't the GOP do themselves a favor by telling the Chamber of Commerce to go take a flying leap and go directly to the voters to stop this influx? Time to establish a national language for education, stop payments going to family in whatever country, enforce the immigration laws that say that one is not to become a financial burden on the state.

Not naive. The Republicans would win house and senate in landslides if they’d do exactly that. Declare war on Obama and his illegal alien invasion and his lawlessness. Declare their intentions to repel the invasion and restore law and order!!
Our two GOP POTUS following Reagan had strong family ties to the COC. That is part of the reason were in this mess. One fancied himself as the creator of NAFTA which basically would eliminate any workable way to secure our southern border. Who was Prescott Bush JR? Where was he when a few weeks into W's administration China force one of our military planes down in International Waters?
First step is going to have to be a hard crack down on Lobbyist. Money is by-passing Constitutional representation of We The People and making it we the donors. The DEMs are bought and so is the GOP.
I don't care if an individual gives his fortune to a campaign. But it should be public record. Corps should be taken out of it. It violates the principles of representation of our nations founding when COC can get access to congressmen and senators and all we can get is low level intern's generic replies and form letters in our RIGHT to petition government.

The average man on the street is a moron. I say this with well over 20 years of belly to belly retail sales of various high dollar items. The people I worked with also knew this and we would tell each other stories about the dumbest customers we had had.
The average man on the street thinks that what is going on now in the US is just politics as usual and it gives him a headache to think about it. They do not want to know what is really going on, as long as their tv is working and they can order in a pizza, then all is right with the world for them.
I thought that when the things that have happened in this country with this administration pulling the strings we would have already have marched on Washington and cleaned house, and seeing as how I am not a subject or peasant I am not talking about tar and feathers and pitchforks.
You have a small city with over 100K in population that can only turn out a couple hundred to protest the forced infestation of diseased illegals, that means we are done.
Either that or I have watched to many John Wayne movies. While I am on the subject of fantasy, forget about a political solution to our problems, largely generated by our own government, looking to the same government to undue the evil they have created is moronic.
