If an honest president were to do this, as some sort of refugee protection mission, he would keep the American people informed, call on their good hearts, work with charity organizations, weed out the criminals, turn as many as possible back at the Mexican border (so that Mexico would protect
their southern border) and make honest efforts to repatriate the uninvited child visitors.
We don't have an honest president.
