I'd occasionally replay the closing of the Sydney Olympics to hear you and the crowd sing Waltzing Matilda.

Are you an Aussie...or "former" Aussie? Just curious. The version of Waltzing Matilda I like was done by the Seekers some years back at some big Aussie sporting event. It's on youtube. Also, that very same version is the background music for a tribute to Aussie soldiers who served in Iraq. That, too,is on youtube.Very moving,IMO

No, I'm not a Aussie nor a former Aussie.

The story is stupid. I did a third grade project on Australia and have always had a soft spot for all things Oz.

I'm the person who started the Anzac day thread on FR, and I've hiked a thousand miles in an Akubra hat.

In international Scouting, you trade uniform parts instead of patches. My standard Scouting windbreaker/raincoat is from New South Wales contingent to a PanAsian jamboree; my standard Scouting fleece is a 2007 World Scout Jamboree issue from Australia.
