The taxation began in the 1760s, the Boston Massacre occurred in 1770, the Boston Tea Party in 1993 and the Battles of Lexington and Concord in April of 1775.

Just a little bit late with the Tea Party.

The most harmful change in the United States, now as opposed to THEN is in the final statement of the Declaration of Independence.
“We pledge our lives, fortunes and SACRED HONOR.”
Written and signed with full knowledge of what a loss would have cost each and every one.
Today’s attitudes appear to be, “We SELL our lives, fortunes and honor to the PARTY in exchange for a campaign contribution and a promise of votes.”
Quite a significant difference.

“Being democratic is not enough, a majority cannot turn what is wrong into right. In order to be considered truly free, countries must also have a deep love of liberty and an abiding RESPECT FOR THE RULE OF LAW.”

Margaret Thatcher
