A Jersey City man has been charged burglarizing a home after he was surprised by the return of the residents and then bit a man, gouged his eyes and then scratched a woman, authorities said.

Note to New Jerseyians: It’s much harder for a burglar to bite you and gouge your eyes after he has been shot once in the chest and once in the head with a .357 magnum.
