I post it semi often on these types of threads. Sometimes fiction opens eyes in ways that reality can’t. And this particular fiction is pretty prophetic.

I think people, even on the right, understand the threat at some level, but don’t ‘understand’ the threat. Not really understand it. It’s just more bad news on TV that doesn’t directly impact them in a real concrete/physical way. They think it might eventually, but not ‘today’. So it gets left for tomorrow to worry about. Meanwhile the threat builds unabated.

It’s human nature I guess, but human nature has often been the downfall of empires.

The Traveler refers to it as "The Century War." We have been at war since approximately 632 A.D. We turned them back at Tours and we turned them back at Lepanto. We must turn them back again. This current conflict has its roots in the distant past - but is no less perilous than the challenges of the last century - the rise of Communism and Nazism - which our fathers vanquished.

The difference now lies in the ethos that has taken root in our society, defined by secularism, materialism and hedonism. Our Troops perform magnificently, but the current World Cup, the Dow Jones and the latest obscene video matter more to many in our society than the reckoning that is coming.

America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
