DON'T RETREAT, RELOAD: SARAH PALIN, ALLEN WEST, RICK SANTORUM ENCOURAGE TEA PARTY TO KEEP FIGHTING

“It does make a difference,” she said. “What you are doing makes a difference and now more than ever we need to ramp it up. Don’t retreat, we gotta reload.”

In spite of their frustration, Palin soon had the crowd laughing as she peppered her speech with political jokes and taking shots against President Obama and his allies. West, a University of Tennessee graduate, led the crowd in a rendition of the song Rocky Top, much to the delight of the crowd.

Palin took the stage acknowledging that Sevierville was Dolly Parton’s home town, explaining that she once dressed up as Parton for Halloween when she was in High School.

She also reminded them that the media was also trying to sound a death knell for the Tea Party but it was very much alive.

“Us bitter clingers and wingers, we ignored those yappin' little lapdogs in the media and with a new social media kind of reporting you know we were able to kick those little varmints away, we were able to ignore what it was that they were saying,” she said.

Palin held up Sen. Ted Cruz as an example of a Washington politician that was fighting for them, and explained that it was more important than ever to send him allies in his fight against the Washington establishment.

“He is there for a reason not a season, and that’s what we need more of,” she said. “We need to send the good guys reinforcements to take the battle to Capitol Hill for us.”

Although she hasn’t endorsed Joe Carr yet in his primary, Palin dropped a hint to Tennessee voters that he was one of their allies.

“We need to be pretty discerning here of what kind of ‘Carr’ we send to D.C.,”

Whining and being hurt and angry won’t work. Passive “punishing” won’t work. Third party daydreaming won’t work.

That's rich!!! "Daydreaming" is thinking that sending money to Cochran with a strongly worded letter expressing your "disgust with his sleazebag tactics" is going to do ANYTHING but advance leftism!

Organizing and cleaning house will work.

It might have worked ten years ago. YOU are daydreaming if you think it can "work" in two short years, in time for the turning-point general election in 2016. If it does, and GOP primary protocol is reformed enough nationally to nominate a limited government conservative, I will happily vote straight-ticket Republican (as I had done for 30-plus years until Romney in 2012).

However, I am not enough of a daydreamer to think that's going to happen. The key to learning from one's mistakes is to apply what one learns from them. Applying what I've learned now means that anytime the GOP fields a candidate who, if he won, would ADVANCE GOVERNMENT, I will vote third party, while many others who used to vote straight party like me but are now applying what they've learned, I can promise you will just stay home.

You are daydreaming if you think sending money to Republican leftist liberal enablers and voting for leftist liberal enablers, isn't going to help leftist liberalism. That the leftist, cheating liberal (Cochran, in this case) you urge Mississipians to support is a member of the Republican party, makes it that much worse.

Hello, Yardstick? WAKE UP, because you are daydreaming.

Right on, Finny. Your story is my story.

We have seen Mississippi.
We are now off the turnip truck.
Our elevator goes to the top and we have surveyed the facts of the scene.
The 2x4 has struck us on the bean.
We have judged the book, not the cover, finally.
We no longer pee upstream or against the wind, but down stream and away from the wind.
We have ceased banging our head against a stone wall and swimming against the current.
We have come in from the rain.
We have left the plantation.
Our bulb is no longer dim. The switch is on.
Our candle has a wick.
We are unstuck from stupid.
We have declined to board the trains.

Too bad about the rest who haven’t, didn’t, won’t and aren’t.
Rita

The whole post -- EXCELLENTLY WELL SAID. That so many die-hard Republicans refuse to accept it -- is their mistake.
