Oklahoma residents whose homes and nerves have been shaken by an upsurge in earthquakes want to know whats causing the temblorsand what can be done to stop them.
Hundreds of people are expected to turn out in Edmond, Oklahoma, on Thursday night for a town hall meeting on the issue. [
]
Oklahoma recorded nearly 150 between January and the start of May. Though most have been too weak to cause serious damage or endanger lives, theyve raised suspicions that the shaking might be connected to the oil and gas drilling method known as hydraulic fracturing, especially the wells in which the industry disposes of its wastewater.

Utter nonsense. There is a fault line going right through the Oklahoma City area, going north/south and through the suburbs too; there is only One who can stop them. The fracking is going on maybe 60 miles away, besides.

Facepalm.
Wastewater disposal has little to do with fracking. Most is disposal of wastewater that happens during the course of normal production. This is just another effort to try and tear down fracking.

Couldn’t they force the oil companies to drill deep shafts and install wooden supports like they do in mines?

I'm concerned that the earthquake is because of all the illegal aliens crossing into California are causing the United States to tip over, and it's going to split in half in Oklahoma.

I think this is not satire, but might as well be.
Imagine substituting “temblors” with “solar flares”.
People have actually gotten to the point where they think there is no such thing as an “act of God” and everything is human modifiable.

North Dakota doesn’t have the kind of faulting that you find in Oklahoma. There are structural mountain ranges and faulting in Oklahoma whereas the geology in North Dakota is much more stable.

Living here in the Land of Fruits and Nuts, everytime we get a shaker people call the police station. What are the cops supposed to do?

What would they do if a fissure volcano started erupting in their public park? There are some active volcanoes in that state.
