In the study of the history of government and power struggles, what happened yesterday is nothing new.

The question before us is "do we reward such behavior with another vote?"

My answer would be no. And I came to that conclusion some time ago (and have caught hell with many FReepers here because of it).

Basically, in the parlance of our times, voting for those who betray you is AMNESTY, though most would call it COMPREHENSIVE SENATE POPULATION REFORM, i.e. "we have to win back the Senate!"

By voting for such men as John Cornyn, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Lamar Alexander, Scott Brown, Thad Cochran, etc., you are essentially saying, "what you did is perfectly ok and you will have our support because you were clever enough to put an "r" next to your name."

In Mississippi, would write-ins be permitted in the November election?

Could he be immediately recalled? Just start the process tomorrow? It would send the right message.

A lot of Freepers apparently enjoy being spit on, pissed on and sh$t on.
The more they get dumped on the more excited they get.

Like you, I don’t get my kicks from being dumped on by my own party.

Everyone is misinterpreting what happened last night.

Last night was a TEST for Hillary’s campaign.

Hillary is running third party, the “Third Way”.

Last night was a test to see if the black drones that vote democrat and only democrat could be convinced to vote for someone other than a dem.

If the black drones can be convinced to vote republican they can be convinced to vote third party for Hillary.

The test worked.

I’ve read that a write-in is possible and permitted. I’d encourage it. Every conservative could vote for McDaniel and Cochran could then be free to get reelected with the moderates and democrats he loves so much.

And may the best man win!

“Could he be immediately recalled? Just start the process tomorrow? It would send the right message.”

It’s a Federal office. Recall isn’t possible.

Republican congress, esp senators, with a long history in the senate, have a machine. They are IN.

they know that Cantor’s ousting in Virginia, of all states, the majority leader, first time in history, is the true temperature out there.

Working to change that is like steering a battleship, and it can’t be done by just one person.

Aside from the fact they are corrupt, what really drives the treachery in this DC establishment GOP, money or fear for theirs or a family members lives?? Could it be both given the world’s oligarchs commonly rule by offering the option of lead or silver?

It’s generally agreed that Thad Cochran squeaked out a win in Mississippi last night in part by getting Democrats, especially African Americans, to turn out. Here’s a flier that was distributed in heavily black precincts suggesting how he accomplished this:

Better your enemy is out front, where you can see them, and that you won't be getting stabbed in the back by the GOPe candidate. Not only that, but with the dims in office, we know what we're getting and we'll get where we're headed a whole lot sooner. I, for one, am done with the lesser of evils. Perhaps the GOP will listen to the deafening silence of the lack of our support. Perhaps.

More than that. If the GOP in Mississippi had asked for the run off to be closed, Mississippi was bound by law to do so.

At this point, with so much evidence of GOP perfidy....I can only call it, “Battered Wife Syndrome”.

I remember when George Wallace ran on a third party ticket. He said there was not a dimes worth of difference between the two parties.

The odd thing is there wasn’t a dimes worth of difference between Wallace and them either.

Dave W on the other hand, along with several others, LOVE the smell of RINO turd as it drips down his face.
