Not unless they have the emails where Lerner and many others used ALIASES.
The 'missing' emails aren't where the incriminating information is. Lerner and others aren't that stupid. The only reason they have been claiming these emails were lost is not because of what's in them, but because of what is NOT in them. Specifically, the subjects they had to discuss (TRUE THE VOTE, for instance) are not in the 'missing' emails. THAT is what they don't want you to see.
In this case, absence of evidence is evidence (that the incriminating discussions were done via ALIAS email accounts).
They do not want a search done to find these 'alias' accounts (which could easily be done). That is why the focus is on the 'missing' but non-incriminating emails. If they are produced, they will not have the goodies in them.
