Red state Democrats who are fighting to overcome their support of gun control and get re-elected are asking gun control proponents Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly to stay out of their states.
This comes after Breibart News' June 4 report that Giffords and Kelly planned to help Senators Mark Udall (D-CO), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), and Kay Hagan (D-NC) get re-elected this November.
Now Udall, Landrieu, and Hagan are pushing Giffords and Kelly to stay away from their races.
According to The Washington Times, the three incumbents are trying to keep gun control from erupting as a major issue in their contests, and they fear that is exactly what will happen once Giffords and Kelly join the fray.

If there existed a GOP candidate with sense they would dedicate several TV commercials to asking why if gun grabbing is great and ‘right for America’, why then do dems disown gun grabbers come election day?
Simple and connects with the lizard brain of damn near anyone. Which sometimes is just whats needed. Plain spoken sense.

Gabby was never a proponent of gun control while she was in office.
She’s not in full control of her faculties and being used as puppet of the gun control crowd in the same way they used to wheel out James Brady for the same reason.
It’s deplorable the way she’s being used.
Can you imagine if someone on the right was using a handicapped person to further a political agenda? The left and the Media in the country would destroy them for it.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of guns are diverted from legitimate commerce and then recovered at crime scenes — in large part because law enforcement does not have the tools it needs to stop the flow of guns to criminals.
One percent of licensed firearm dealers account for 57 percent of guns recovered in crimes. Law enforcement can put such offenders out of business, but the police and prosecutors need the tools to do so.
Currently, law enforcement can only go after gun traffickers for what are essentially paperwork violations. Such offenses, primarily being “engaged in the business” of selling firearms without a license and engaging in a straw purchase of a firearm, are very difficult to prove and prosecute, and lead to minor sentences.
The number one thing we can do to stop gun trafficking is a universal background check system. But Congress should also institute stiff penalties for straw purchasers and pass a clear federal statute that makes gun trafficking a serious crime.

I was thinking the same thing. Isn't that pretty much all she is? "OK Gabby... first say, 'guns are bad,' then say, 'they make me sad.'"
An astronaut of the "former" variety. America doesn't have a manned space program anymore and the Russians have said "no thanks" to our future ISS participation. So I guess that leaves Gabby as Mark's meal ticket.
