LAUREL, Miss. Chris McDaniels Republican campaign for the Senate barreled through Mississippi on Sunday on anti-establishment, Tea Party-invigorated energy as the states runoff primary race entered its final hours.
The Tea Party Express, one of the nations largest organizations aligned with the movement, was the host of three bus tour events earlier...
Five years have passed since Tea Party groups began protesting big government at summer town-hall meetings across the country...
*snip*
...kickoff event on Friday evening...10 minutes from Mr. McDaniels hometown, American flags waved as a husband-and-wife band, the Rivoli Revue, jammed on guitars bearing American flag insignia and sang songs criticizing government overreach with titles like Restoring America, USSA and Repeal Obamacare.
*snip*
" We the people will select him [the candidate]. It will not be the political machine and the Republican old guard.
The crowd cheered as Ms. Barnett and each of the roughly one dozen speakers, including the talk radio host Lars Larson, railed against the nations capital or against Mr. Cochran. In a county where Mr. McDaniel won 85 percent of the vote in the June 3 race that led to the runoff scheduled for Tuesday, any attack on his opponent personal or political was sure to draw boisterous applause and hollering.
*snip*
He (Cochran) wants to scare you into voting for the status quo.
Mr. McDaniel accompanied the Tea Party Express bus ... hours before Mr. Cochran was to host Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, a few miles away in Gulfport.

Senator McDaniels is a down home friendly intelligent who really cares about the people in Mississippi and will represent them well and he supports our Constitutional Republic, not this faux "democracy" that politicians are trying to push onto us citizens.
It went great and Chris really cares about our country.
CONSERVATIVES PLAN TO USE POLL WATCHERS IN MISSISSIPPI
Fantastic, thanks for the heads up and the link!
Needs to be done all across the country.
The original article is in the NY Times but I hate the Times.
Oh yeah I know.
I had to keep snipping out some good info because of the excerpt rules.
The whole article should be read, it’s pretty positive towards the TPM for the NYT.
With all due respect, having worked as a poll watcher for three elections and also as a poll worker the last two, Poll Watchers can do very little and are usually relegated to sit in specific chairs in a precinct away from the Poll Workers with the excuse that the Watchers would be interrupting, intimidating or distracting the Workers. One can only raise a potential issue with the Precinct Captain/Leader and by the time that person is notified, the issue has already gone past the point of where the person in question already has their ballot. It’s nothing more than security guards without weapons. Sure, the “honest” ones are scared away while the true criminals just ignore them.
Poll watchers who are actually capable, and not just veteran fixtures of elections going back to Eisenhower, will be the key to this and every other election this year.
We never see sharp younger people working our polling places in Texas, and with this lousy economy, there ought to be some available this year.
Are they allowed to stand outside the polling places with baseball bats? That seems to work well.
Only Eric Holder can determine that validity only when it involved “my people”.
And do what? It's not illegal for Democrats to vote in the run-off so long as they were registered and didn't vote in the Democrat primary. We don't need poll watchers to know that Cochran is trying to convince the Democrats to come out and vote for him over McDaniel. So if he pulls this one out we also know that there is no way that the GOPe and the truly Conservative base will ever be able to trust each other.
I don’t know any conservatives who trust the GOP. I sure don’t.
Even The New York Times Is Taking Notice
With the important Mississippi primary run-off election for U.S. Senate TOMORROW, we are gaining momentum in our efforts to rally Tea Party supporters to vote for conservative Chris McDaniel.
We are speaking to some great Americans, rallying the Tea Party supporters, and getting some great press, like this article in the New York Times.
Mississippi is ground zero in the battle between the D.C. insider class and the Tea Party grassroots, and the stakes could never be higher. With the eyes of the nation on this race, we must deliver a victory for the Tea Party and Chris McDaniel and need your support to do so.
Here are some great pics from our rally and GOTV efforts in Biloxi, Mississippi:
As is the case with special elections, turnout will likely be low. That means that it is imperative that we make sure that McDaniel supporters are motivated enough to turn out to vote.
With the election TOMORROW, we need everyone to help!Link to NYT excerpt above found at This Link
Not Even A Shredded Bus Tire Can Stop Us
We had an amazing day yesterday on the campaign trail wit Chris McDaniel, and not even the massively shredded tire that we endured on the Mississippi highway on our way to our second rally could stop us!
We are determined to do all we can to elect Tea Party conservative Chris McDaniel to the U.S Senate.
Our flat tire slowed us down, but undeterred, we made it to our Tupelo and Pearl, MS rallies and had great events with Chris McDaniel.
If you believe that Chris McDaniel will be an asset in the U.S. Senate and support our efforts to get him elected, please make a donation today.
Here are some great pics from yesterday's rallies in Mississippi:
We are on the front lines of ground zero in the battle between the D.C. insider class and the Tea Party grassroots and are holding rallies and conducting a massive Get-Out-The-Vote-Effort.
With the election only 2 days away, we need your immediate support to help us reach the Tea Party and undecided voters!
I shook Chris hand in Hernando this past Saturday.
Thomas Carey, the third man in the race that caused this run off, introduced Chris and gave him a strong endorsement.
Great X2!
Thanks for the info.
Too bad the spoiler guy that got 0.000001% wouldn’t have ran.
Oh well we have to keeping fighting the good fight
