UN Agenda 21.

Evacuate the middle of the country and herd all the human livestock to high-rise containment facilities on both coasts.

Connect the high-rise containment facilities with high-speed rail.

Just like Hunger Games.

...includes a $250 million gift for the project in the coming fiscal year from the state's cap-and-trade greenhouse-gas emissions...

Actually a union payoff using money involuntarily seized from the taxpayers for other purposes. Libs are always so generous with OPM.

If they can pay for it with Federal funds, it will be free, so it will be good for the economy. They could also set very high tolls on the competing roads — that would also be free, and would help the economy. Add in huge gas taxes, which cost nothing, and you have the stage for an economic miracle. This is a win, win, win for us all. I can’t believe how smart we all are. Oh, and also, more free stuff, they should not charge fares for anyone under 30, over 40, unemployed, of color, undocumented, who smells, or has live chickens, because this would all be free and would cost nothing.

Cal High-Speed Rail is a mighty dumb road,
Cal High-Speed Rail’s gonna take some bribes
Cal High-Speed Rail is a mighty dumb road
Try to fund it, go and buy yourself a pundit
Go and lobby at the statehouse for the Cal High-Speed Rail

Well it won’t be cheap and it won’t go far
But they’re gonna make you dump your car

Oh, loonies in the West with their high-speed rail
Gov’nah Moonbeam going to fund some fail
Amtrak train on a high-speed track
It’s already cancelled, but you’ll see it back

Note to Gov. Brown.

Just because you are a Democratic ‘chump’ does not mean that by gifting the grifters you favor with $250,000,000 will cause the rest of us to allow the FedGov to dump any of our money into your rail delusion.

In the total cost of that rail delusion, your $250,000,000 is mere ‘chump change’ - got that, “Chump”?

They are understated the costs. The only way can cut the costs down by using the old rail line. The court made the right ruling.

Nice to see McCarthy blocking it...maybe we can do business with him after.

In the end, if California REALLY WANTS a high-speed train, they have an economy large enough to build it themselves, and that’s what they should be doing.

“This high-speed rail is cheaper than more freeway lanes and more airport runways,” Brown said Friday.”

The First Amendments protects the right of politicians to tell BLATANT LIES...and this is one of them. The cost comparison is not even close.
