Poll: McDaniel Takes 8-Point Lead over Cochran Days from Election

PEARL, Mississippi — A new poll shows that state Sen. Chris McDaniel has surged even further ahead in the final days of his GOP primary runoff against Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS), in what has become one of the most epic bouts to date between grassroots conservatives and the GOP establishment.

McDaniel has taken a 52 percent to 44 percent lead over Cochran, while four percent of voters remain undecided in a new tracking poll by Chism Strategies. The poll, conducted on Friday night, surveyed 697 GOP primary voters and has a margin of error of 3.8 percent—a number McDaniel’s 8-point lead is well outside of.

“Unless Cochran expands the electorate with general election Republicans and crossover Democrats, McDaniel wins,” pollster Brad Chism wrote in a memo accompanying the poll’s release.

This poll comes on the heels of another Chism poll a couple days ago that had McDaniel at a six-point lead, 50-44.

While polls haven't been that accurate lately (heh heh!), I hope this one is true!

In any case, it's better to have a poll right before the election that shows you way ahead than neck and neck.

Have to wonder how much money Thad has spent so far on campaign.

Good news but I don’t buy the 4% undecided. Even the dedicated FM listeners have had to be exposed to the race and must have some opinion or maybe they tapped into the state hospital pool of respondents. One never knows for sure.

When a Republican has to try to buy votes from Democrat Blacks in Mississippi, you know he’s on his way out the door. Whoever ran Cochran’s campaign is an idiot.

Like my deceased father-in-law used to say, “Never give them your right name”. Same goes true for who you INTEND to vote for. The least said the better and when the dust settles, they still won’t know who you voted for.

Got a visit by a polite young man yesterday afternoon - bringing leaflets for McDaniel and willing to spend time to talk about it. I'm already "in the bag" for McDaniel, but it's good to see the sort of folks getting out to talk him up. I keep getting the nagging worry that the dark side will pull something off for Cochran, but it's looking better and better.

Here's to McDaniel winning the runoff by 10%......

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

He’s probably unaware that there is an election coming up.

It’s not any kind of victory until the seat goes to the Republican, the real election isn’t until November.

If Thaddy doesn’t win , don’t be surprised the GOPe doesn’t run him as a write in.

Forget polls. McDaniel should win by over 90%. Otherwise, there’s more work to be done to convince the electorate that these elitist criminals need to go (every election cycle if necessary).

Ballot box BUMP!

Cochran desperately needs to expand his voting base and is depending on crossover Democrat votes.

Obama is pleased as punch that Republican Cochran recently endorsed Obamacare....since lock-stepping Democrats who voted for it en masse, are running way from the debacle as fast as their Dummy legs can carry them.

In an interview at a campaign stop, over-the-hill befuddled Cochran called the Obamacare debacle “an example of an important effort by the federal government to help make health care available, accessible and affordable.” “I’m glad to be involved in that effort,” Cochran added enthusiastically.

"I urge Democrats to vote, for Thad. I need Thad to help me get
another trillion dollars from Congress so that all Americans can
have affordable health care. "

"Thad will help me release a couple dozen more
Gitmo terrorists to live a life of luxury in Quatar."

He will ensure Obamacare reaches every American."

Karl Rove probably knows down to the last dime, and he is none to happy. For that matter I wouldn’t be surprised if some shadowy Rats didn’t give some up as well.

Which means the wild card is how many Dems turn out and vote for Cochran. If he wins the runoff because of that I don't see how the GOP survives the rift.

As far as the GOPe goes he's only an idiot if it doesn't work.

Plus, NPR is giving Thad lots of positive airtime over their radio network. They are going to be p.o.ed when McDaniel wins for wasting all that air time and money on Thad.

Well, I will believe that MS people have THad Enough when it actually happens. MS is among many states stuck on incumbency.

THad Enough has become one of the worst candidates in history; if MS embraces him, it will cause one to regard MS like SC and its perpetual fascination with “Loveable Lindsey”.

******************************************************************************
Let’s NOT be overconfident! This poll surveyed “GOP primary voters”. It didn’t survey those who did not vote in the primary but are still eligible to vote in the runoff.

Unfortunately, the winner of the “runoff” will be determined by how many black DemoncRATS the despicable GOPe (and their DemoncRAT allies) can chauffeur to the polls with their “walking around” money.

Maybe, maybe not. This incumbency is a strong draw to the American people; like the moon pulling in the tides.

The voters of Mississippi should realize that Thad Cochran has fully accepted, and taken the mantle as the Obama, Obamabot, Democrat, African-American candidate in the upcoming USA Senate runoff election, being held this comng Tuesday, June 24, 2014!!! The Congressional Black Caucus is toying with the idea to make Thad Cochran, a full fledged member of the CBC on a permanent basis.

As such...all Republicans, Independents, Conservatives, Blue Dog Democrats, etc., should vote for Chris McDaniel to be the next USA Senator from the great state of MIssissippi. GOTV for Chris McDaniels, come next Tuesday, June 24, 2014!!! DO IT!!!
