Government NEVER controlled marriage. Marriage was between a man, woman, and a preacher where the only record might be entered in the Family Bible.
Some people had “common law” marriages until a circuit preacher came around. No license required.

Correct. This article by John Fund makes some excellent points in support of the common sense which you just posted.

I don't know that getting government completely out of the equation is the answer, but if the gay mafia continues their phony crusade to the next inevitable steps, it may be the only answer short of civil war.
