My SIL says the Somalis have taken over from the Mexicans at the chicken processors.
Apparently the Mexicans have learned it’s a better deal to slide over to public assistance.
I noticed that a couple of years ago when I went through NOEL, MO. Africans everywhere.
It used to be quite a vacation spot, now it is mostly chicken processing at the Hudson Plant and Africans work there now. I believe the swimming areas are still open and Shadow Lake. Definitely not the old Noel.

Not really. Many of the children of the first Mexicans brought in 45 years ago now work for that store that started on the West side of the Bentonville Square. Now, what was that business? I can’t remember! Man it is right on the tip of my tongue! Oh yeah, WALTON’S 5&10.
Others have opened their own businesses. Many are well respected here.
