The ISIS invasion of Iraq may end up being like Hitler’s invasion of Russia - big initial gains followed by heavy bleeding.
If/when the (former?) Baathists or the tribes (with Saudi support) turn on ISIS, they may end up being the ones running for their lives in their underwear.
Even if they hold Sunni support together, the numerically superior Iraqi Shia and the relatively huge Iranian Army are coming with a counter attack. Holding ground will be much costlier than taking it was.
