Joni Ernst just made a grievous error. The left will crucify her and take advantage of her apology. She only has to look as far as Trent Lott and Paula Dean to see how they treat those that show weaknesses. She should have let it be and said that her husband is allowed to have his own beliefs.
I agree...never say you are sorry. She should have just shrugged and said “that was a long time ago” Don’t bow to these people because they will eat you alive no matter how you apologize
