Bring out the body bags.
Those of you who think 275 Marines is too few, apparently you have forgotten these are Marines, not army. Big difference.
I feel sorry for the parents whose sons/daughters are being sent into this hell-hole. God Almighty be with our Troops!!
Amen to that. Pray that any wounded who survive will not have to wait 9 months to be seen at the VA.
Agreed provided they are not hamstrung with some BS rules of engagement.
Someone has probably already asked, but if they are ever about to be overrun can that POS in the White House be expected to lift a finger to help them? Or will he sacrifice them as in Benghazi?
I see many on FB arguing that it’s NOT “boots on the ground”, and then I read this article and see this:
“This force is deploying for the purpose of protecting U.S. citizens and property, if necessary, and is equipped for combat,” Obama said in a letter to lawmakers. “This force will remain in Iraq until the security situation becomes such that it is no longer needed.”
So....they are there to “protect” and are “equipped for combat”.....if THAT isn’t “boots on the ground”, I don’t know what is.
Obama...the liar....at it again. And I’m 100% positive, he’ll screw this up too, since I’m pretty damn sure he isn’t listening to any commanders or anyone with experience or know-how, he’s just making decisions, thinking HE knows best, as usual. Ugh. I loathe this POS.
Told Congress? What did he do? Send them a Tweet?
BTTT
Get our people out then let them kill each other. If the winner poses a threat to us, carpet bomb them.
Nice...love the snarky Tweets....
Operation Bush’s Fault
No man,,, he sent a group text while riding down the 17th fairway.
Any one of the metrosexual names I heard in theater:
Screaming Virile Monkey
Purple Trouser
Restore Sanity
Lady Bloodstain
And yes, we actually nominated those...
AF special ops. They go behind enemy lines to direct air attacks...
I know what they are - was just speculating on the make-up of the current deployment.
- well somebody has to be the company cook, company clerk, or in charge of issuing uniforms...
Why so many?
Chuck Norris wasn’t available.
I'm sorry, but all of our units are out at the moment, or are otherwise engaged. Please leave a message with your country, name of organization, the region, the specific crisis, and a number at which we can call you. As soon as we have sorted out Syria,Lybia, the Koreas, China, Japan, the LGBT movement, marching up and down the streets of Washington, DC, and compulsory "Consideration Of Others" training, we will return your call.
Please speak after the tone, or if you require more options, please listen to the following numbers:
If your crisis is small, immediate in nature, under-funded, and close to the ocean, press 1 for the United States Marine Corps Special Recon Forces.
If your concern is distant, with a temperate climate and good hotels, and can be solved by one or two low risk, high altitude bombing runs, please press 2 for the United States Air Force. Please note this service is not available after 1630 hours, or on weekends. Special consideration will be given to customers requiring satellite or stealth technology who can provide additional research and development funding.
If your inquiry concerns a situation which can be resolved by a bit of gray funnel, bunting, flags and a really good marching band, please write, well in advance, to the United States Navy. Please note that Tomahawk missile service is extremely limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
If your inquiry is not urgent, please press 3 for the Rapid Deployment Force.
If you are in real hot trouble, please press 4, and your call will be routed to the Joint Special Operations Command. Please note that a compulsory credit check will be required to ensure you can afford the inherent TDY costs. Also be aware that JSOC may bill your account at any time and is not required to tell you why, as it will be classified.
If youd like to join the U.S. Marines, where youll be shouted at for low pay, have your wife and family stationed miles from civilization, and are prepared to work long hours, risk your life, in all kinds of weather and terrain, while watching congress constantly erode your pay and benefits package, please stay on the line. A bitter, passed-over Marine Recruiter in an old strip mall down by the post office will be with you shortly. Thank you for calling the U.S. Armed Forces Hotline.
Great analysis and true.
