Top Republican: Rand Paul Is Doing a Lot Better Than His Dad
Ecomonic Policy Journal ^ | June 15 2014 | Economic Policy Journal

Sounds lie Rand's sell-out on the "military stuff" is complete and since government shouldn't be involved in marriage at all, his favoring the government blessing of same sex marriage is far from a libertarian position. Maybe the libwaps can cheer the move.

The Blaze reports:

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) met with about 25 major Republican donors on Wednesday to discuss making changes to the 2016 Republican Party platform to draw in more young voters, including potentially changing the party’s approach to same-sex marriage.

All of the donors present had contributed the maximum $32,400 to the Republican National Committee, said Shaun McCutcheon, who was the lead plaintiff in this year’s landmark McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission Supreme Court case...

McCutcheon said Paul “did excellent. It was an awesome meeting. He answered all the questions.”

“He did have a libertarian streak,” McCutcheon said. “They did talk about the military stuff and the foreign policy because of his dad. I thought he did a lot better than Ron did. I think he’s learned. Some things the RNC is not going to negotiate on.”

He is doing better than his dad only because he is not as open with his statements as his dad.

Some things the RNC is not going to negotiate on.

The bedrock of civilization--marriage--evidently not being one of them.

It’s amazing how it never seems to dawn on some of these political geniuses that their grand new policies might subtract more supporters than they add.

Actually, that phenomenon has been at play for Republicans in several recent elections.

Yep, and according to reviews of recent elections, the GOPe is already down 3 to 4 million voters in presidential elections, but they just keep pushing policies that will subtract even more voters.

This is why the GOP Establishment kicks grass root conservatives in the teeth every chance they get.

One of my local radio stations runs Ron Paul spot commentaries.
The man is a lunatic who claims to be a libertarian.
