Brzezinski was Carters’s National security adviser and he failed miserably with the Iranians (1979) and the Soviets (Afghanistan 1980). “Zbig” was Obama’s Foreign Policy developer in 2008 and continues to give BAD advice to Obama. Zbig was and is a huge failure as a policy maker for Jimmuh and he is the one who helped Obama lose many areas of the world... If there is one man to blame for the loss of American hegemony in the world, it is Zbig.

A lot of people thing Zbig won the cold war.

He and Carter funded the political opposition in Afghanistan, which led to the Soviet invasion, which was the precipitating event in the collapse of the Soviets.

So when they talk about the "Wise Old Realists", they are talking about Henry Kissinger, Brent Scowcroft, and Zbig.

Zbig is still very influential because of his association with CSIS and Rand.
