Matt Bevin was his main threat who got 35% of the vote.
Three other got 5% between them and McConnell got 60%.
Incumbents generally have the inside track.
Mitch will likely squeak it out. Incumbents are harder to get rid of than gum off the bottom of your shoe.

Incumbents do have an advantage. They have a track record for voters to see as opposed to rhetorical claims what the non-incumbent will do if elected. Every hear of Bird in the Hand, beats two in the bush?
Obviously McConnel was able to satisfy 60% of the voters.
Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a dog and I sure as heck would not have voted for him.
