State Department Refers to Taliban 5 as 'Gentlemen'
Weekly Standard ^ | June 9, 2014 | Michael Warren

A spokeswoman for the State Department referred to the Taliban operatives released from Guantanamo Bay as part of the deal to retrieve Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl as "gentlemen." In a Monday afternoon appearance with Andrew Mitchell on MSNBC, Marie Harf, the deputy spokesperson at State and an alumna of the Obama campaign, argued with Mitchell over the question of whether or not Congress should have ben notified about the exchange before it occured.

Noah Rothman at Hot Air documents the conversation, and near the end of the interview, Harf defends the deal against questions about whether or not the Taliban operatives could return to Afghanistan.

"Under this administration, we've put in very stringent processes to determine that we can sufficiently mitigate the risk that the terrorists, the possibility that these gentlemen will go back to the battlefield," Harf says. Watch the video below (the previous sentence starts at around 3:14):

What does it take for Boehner to begin Articles of Impeachment for the Democrat’s Obama?

They certainly aren’t “raggedy” or “war criminals”. Nope, not like the members of OUR OWN military.

This administration sucks.

What will it take for America to do more than send email jokes to their friends. It’s time to overwhelm everyone in congress with demands that they stand up for this country and obey their oaths of office. They live in a bubble and don’t focus on much beyond the next cocktail party while their staffs take the messages and do the work.

The GOP-E has had control of the Nation’s purse strings for over 4 years.

Boehner has been in control as Speaker of the House for over 4 years.

Obama has thus been at the mercy of Boehner and the GOP-E for over 4 years.

Obama thus could not have been as successful as he has been without the full cooperation of the GOP-E and ESPECIALLY Speaker Boehner, Leader Cantor, Whip McCarthy, Economist Ryan, Chairman Mike Rogers, Chairman Issa and loose cannon Peter King of NY.

As long as the Member Republicans in the US House choose to keep in place the above Leadership team, Obama will be able to continue his personal race to the bottom.

Obama, Reid, Holder and Pelosi are just doing what they have been raised up to do: Destroy America, ASAP. They are Public Enemy Number One.

Those who refuse to oppose the destruction of our Republic are Public Enemy Number Two: Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy, Issa Mike Rogers, Peter King of NY and Ryan.

BTW, when have “ - - conservatives - - - ,” Boehner, lame duck Cantor, or Ryan EVER “Conserved” anything when doing battle with Obama, Reid, Holder or Pelosi?

____________________

The only thing that matters in politics is to stay on offense.

The GOP-E has perfected the art of always staying on defense.

Thus, the GOP-E will continue to lose elections by wide margins.

R Sc Rep. Trey Gowdy is an exception to the shunning of Offense by the GOP-E.

Gowdy has the required fire-in-the-belly to attack, Attack, ATTACK!

I stand with Gowdy, Lee and Cruz, who so far have told the truth, and then refused to apologize for telling the TRUTH.

The Republican Party has come a long ways since 2012.

In 2012, then GOP-E candidate Romneycare Romney published a book entitled “No Apologies.”

Also in 2012 Romneycare Romney told the truth about the 47 % who pay no personal FI Taxes, and thus would not vote for him.

Two weeks later, Romney apologized, saying “I was completely wrong.”

The GOP-E lost the support of Conservatives when GHW Bush lied to us about “Read my lips, NO NEW TAXES!”

The GOP-E lost the support of the “Hold-your-nose-when-you-vote” segment in 2008 by voting for McCain.

The GOP-E revealed itself to be a dedicated loser when they chose to run Romneycare Romney against Obamacare Obama.

Now we have “Scandal Coverup Artist” Sobber Boehner caving in to Obama, Reid, Holder and Pelosi on a weekly basis.

We need to march into the US House of Representatives and “escort” out the above mentioned “Leaders” for a TEA Party “reception” on the Lawn of the US House.

I have the tar, y’all bring the feathers!

Obama might very well become the death knell of affirmative action.

I am probably just having a fit of wishful thinking.

Oh people do this sort of thing everywhere. It's like: "He gave it to she and I" or "Everyone do their homework." It's part of the utter degeneration of journalism, language, morality, and everything else in Western civilization.

Standard fare on U.S. TV: "A crazed killer held up a 7-ll, shot the manager, raped 10 women, threw a bomb at police officers, kicked a dog; then the gentleman fled."

America needs Gowdy running the investigation of Benghazi. Who else has his fire and could be an effective speaker? My guess would be Allen west, but that would be a tough mission to accomplish with so many spineless and disappointing members wearing (R)s.

As I posted just now on another thread:

The elephant in the room -- and it's one BIG pachyderm -- is that there is absolutely no reason anymore for our representatives to be traveling to Washington like it's 1800 or something. Almost all Congressional business -- committee meetings, hearings, votes, etc. -- could be conducted online or via teleconference. Maybe the whole gang could get together annually for the State of the Union or something so they can have their big cocktail party. Our reps could easily stay in their home districts and be accountable to their constituents, and save the treasury BILLIONS. "Going to Washington" now is little more than an excuse to get away from the oversight of the people who elected you, while collecting all those myriad perks from lobbyists and "supporters."

There is chatter on the Left that Obama's strategy is to deliberately try and provoke this. Then we can have street riots over "racists" trying to impeach our First Black President in time for 2016.

It’s a bad habit really. I hear people on talk radio all the time saying things like “the gentleman who murdered 12 people....”

Cops have a way of doing this regarding perpetrators. Drives me nuts.

Of course, state dept indeed finds gese guys to be gentlemen, so that’s a different story

” - - - Obama might very well become the death knell of affirmative action. - - - “

Not so!

“Zipper-Boy” Clinton established the precedent that The President of the United States of America is ALWAYS above the Laws of the United States of America.

B. Hussein Obama has established the precedent the key to “Fundamentally transforming the United States of America” into whatever one wants it to be is to have a weak, crybaby Speaker of the House who will always cave-in, and NEVER Impeach ANYBODY!

John Boehner is the founder of “Boehnerism,” the dominant current political philosophy of the GOP-E in Congress.

Various alternatives to Boehnerism, such as “Cruz Control” are still not popular with the rank and file of the professional politicians in Congress, most of whom have become millionaires by using the cave-in tactics of Boehnerism.

In the future, the trifecta of B. Clinton-B. Obama-J. Boehner will be held up as the standard for the Anti-Constitutionalists, and Anti-Capitalists Public Servants elected to serve in the District of Corruption.

FORWARD!

“What does it take for Boehner to begin Articles of Impeachment for the Democrat’s Obama?”

A republican majority in the Senate? Go ahead and impeach Obama. He hasn’t obeyed a law yet. What will this do except put the media in a feeding frenzy that Repubicans are on a witch hunt because Obama is black?

Yes, that is a transparent tenant of “BOEHNERISM”: “Always generously financially reward those that one caves-in to.”
