"WTH happened to this guy? I know it’s tragic to lose his wife like he did, but SHEESCH!!"

He got remarried to a hard core liberal attorney.

It should never be a national party issue.

It wasn't until federal judges started overturning state initiatives and state legislative decisions.

I had the good fortune to know Barbara Olson. She was a FReeper. On the 10th anniversary of 9/11 ( the first 9/11..can you believe we now have to number them?) I posted a remembrance.

Some may enjoy reading it...either again, or for the first time..It's important that we NEVER FORGET!!

"A personal remembrance.."

I’ve always wondered how Barbara would view her husband’s stance on gay marriage...

Olson can be described as an intellectual who has spent his entire career inside the beltway.

You have not been paying attention. All that is coming, along with polygamy, and other stuff for which I lack imagination.

” - - - - Republican voters are not happy with the GOP’s establishment position on amnesty for illegal immigrants and other hot-button issues fracturing the party. - - - “

The above quote, from another (today) FR thread article by author Adrianna Cohen describes the disconnection between the GOP-E leadership and that of the Republican voter.

To her credit, she did not rely on the usual defensive Liberal smokescreen tactic of using Liberal Media Polls based on OPINIONS to magically transform her case into a beyond question “Scientific” Case.

What Ms. Cohen and much of the rest of the Right and Left Stream Media are mis-reporting is that there is a “fracture” in the Republican Party.

The basic assumption of these journalists is that a political party must be monolithic, united, and speak “with one voice.”

Anything deviation of opinion in the party is viewed as a danger that must be quickly healed before it becomes, (gasp!), a fracture.

The current Democrat Party is a perfect end example of what today’s Journalists view as normal political party behavior.

The reality is that The GOP-E Leadership has chosen to arrogantly ISOLATE itself from its voters.

The triple Presidential losses of Dole, McCain and Romney has curiously served to strengthen the GOP-E Leadership’s resolve to isolate themselves even more from their former and present Republican voters.

While the GOP-E Leadership has been busy appeasing, caving-in and otherwise “marching to the drum beat” of Obama, Reid, Holder and Pelosi, they have marched themselves into ever-increasing isolation.

After 4 + years of handing Obama a blank check, ignoring all illegal bypasses of Congress and caving-in to whatever Obama, Reid, Holder and Pelosi demand, the GOP-E Leadership has effectively isolated itself in the eyes of the average Republican Voter.

Actually I can picture Boehner and McConnell riding on a float in a gay pride parade with giant condoms on their heads.

In 2006, he married Lady Booth, a tax attorney and lifelong Democrat...I wonder what BKO would have thought of THAT.

I don't think that people, especially mature adults, can be happy in a marriage if they come from two divergent political/ideological..there's NO common ground..so Ted must have been harboring these liberal "feeling" for some time..

Then why are practicing homosexuals hell-bent on making it a national issue? Why are they intent on forcing sodomy into every single corner of discussion?

Glad I’m out of that party. I may lose, but at least I’ll stand on with God on principle.

The media and the liberals have decided that this is the ultimate issue, and that if you oppose homosexual marriage, you are a worthless human being, and that no other issues matter.

The Republican party must reframe this issue back to where it belongs. "Marriage Equality" is a smokescreen. Whenever this issue is brought up people must be redirected right back to where it belongs. Sodomy is a deadly proposition - refer them right back to the Federal Govt's CDC website and explain that there is no "equivalent" to male female marriage compared to male to male marriage.

What is being asked of the Republican party is to "validate" a "lifestyle" that without question and is fully documented to cause disease and death. This issue should ALWAYS be redirected back to the CDC website! Men having sex with men IS DEADLY - PERIOD! Don't let them squirm away from where the "objection" to "marriage equality" comes from!

Hey, once people are convinced sexual perversion is harmless and normal, and people can be made to feel guilty for being disgusted by it, the rest is easy. Politicians will run to pick up votes like pigs to slop.

The senate and congress occupy themselves with quibbling over bills and rules about how to do things that Obama has already done.

They pretend they are important to the governance of the nation and Obama pretends they don't exist.

The day this happens the GOP will lose forever millions of evangelical Christian votes and they have no place to replace these votes from except liberals. If the GOPe thinks they can out liberal a liberal, good luck with that. They will become a footnote in history as a party. Same goes for abortion if they decide to tow Moloch’s line on that as well.
