Economics professor Dave Brat crushed House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the Republican primary Tuesday night, in a campaign that was mostly about Cantors supporting amnesty for 11 million illegal aliens.
This marks the first time a U.S. House majority leader has ever lost a primary election.
His crushing defeat reinforces a central point: Whenever the voters know an election is about immigration, they will always vote against more immigration especially amnesty.

11 million and I’m betting the GOP still haven’t a clue why.
Yes..Clueless and spineless..That pretty well sums it up.
ITA! That bunch couldn’t find their butts with both hands and a guided map!
Jeez, maybe it’s time for this university professor to run for office-—except Mike Turner keeps saying all the right things and voting the right way. Today he hammered Hagel.
Funny thing about Cantor, two speeches after his defeat so far and he still hasn’t mentioned or congratulate David Brat. I wish someone would shove a mic in his face and ask him if he
Is going to support Brat in the General Election
Sounds like a sore loserman. That”s how vindictive little Napoleons roll.
Carma’s a bitch!
“ITA! That bunch couldnt find their butts with both hands and a guided map!”
Yeah, agree. Speaking of butts, where is the GOP Royal Rainmaker, aka Karl Rove? Haven’t seen him on Fox since Cantor’s whupping, lol :)
They have been saying generically “11 million” for about 30 years now.
I’ll bet there are more than that in Mexicalifornia alone.
“11 million and Im betting the GOP still havent a clue why.”
Oh they have a clue. It’s just that the corporatist lobby pays better.
Yep. Think about it. Islam... and the South of the Border invasion... gain strength because they advertise taking other peoples' (ours) stuff. Meanwhile, we're divided because we're redealing our own stuff through redistribution. The prospect of plunder beats polite socialism in terms of enthusiasm.
When he raised millions of dollars in campaign cash, he wasn't doing that for his own election campaign. He was raising that money to spend it in other Congressional districts as a way of currying favor with House Republicans. The obvious quid-pro-quo was that the candidates who accepted his help had to support him in his pursuit of the House leadership role, with the obvious implication that those candidates might lose if they didn't have Cantor's financial support.
When a guy engages in a near-pathological pursuit of a House leadership role using those strong-arm tactics, he becomes the laughingstock of Washington if he loses in his own freaking district ... and in a Republican primary, no less.
Forget about supporting David Brat. Cantor ought to be on a suicide watch right now.
Oh yeah, that’s just the dems crossing over.......NOT!!
OF course our less than trustworthy dim slimes saw it as voter recruitment opportunity.
IF WE CAN'T ENFORCE THIS LAW, WHAT GIVES THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ANY MORAL AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE ANY LAW?????????
I was wondering that myself.
And why should WE obey the law? They certainly aren't.
Steve King still has the filing cabinet he kicked on that day.
