It's all a ruse to paint the tea party movement in a bad light.
But google is full of articles calling him a "tea party" candidate, saying he is "backed by the tea party" but nowhere does it say what tea party org or group.

I only see one mention of "tea party" action, walking precincts for Esk 4 years ago.
They call themselves a tea party group, but it was formed under Beck's 912 thingie, so not really TPM IMO. (In 2009 when the TPM started, Beck jumped in front of the parade and tried to draw tea party people to follow him and his 912 group)

I guess you have to “friend” him to see it, don’t want him for a friend...lol
But because he is a “member” doesn’t mean they support them.

From looking at the Ok City tea party page, it sure doesn’t look like they are the kind of group that would support him.
Anyone pretty much can join any group on FB.

I am glad when this stuff is in FR. Freepers are awesome at debunking this crap and it helps when we’re confronted with it, to be able to come here and quickly get the low down without hours researching every little thing. Leave it posted. It is very helpful
I agree with you completely. I occasionally get ‘Semmens’d’ but between FR, Drudge, and Instapundit I get a much better understanding of current events than I ever could watching mainstream or cable.
My 88-year-old mother lives with me and spends most of her day watching the tube. I go in occasionally into the ‘gun room’ where the TV is located to interact with her and get a little taste of what passes for news nowadays.
