It was all about this poor sick young man who had to be rescued from those nasty Talley Bans. Hagle & Co. subordinated US interests to negotiate with the enemy who they GREATLY aided and abetted.

They may not venture out of Qatar, because they will be under strict surveillance, but they will be free to move around the country as they wish.

They will be free to meet with their families and use couriers to direct operations against the Afghan government and us. They have other ways to communicate with their people. There is no solace in restricting their movements to within Qatar. They are generals who can direct hostile actions against us no matter where they are physically located. And their release boosts the morale of our enemies.

This may be the only time that a soldier was asked to sign a non disclosure statement for a simple Missing/Captured comrade. WHY?

CH said entire National Security team reviewed CH’s letter covering transfer, and were in full agreement with contents.

Of course, no one in Congress could see it.

Says they met the threshold of the 2014 Defense Authorization Act—threat of detainees was substantially mitigated.

Now weasel wording how this action was consistent with all of America’s actions in the past pertaining to POWs.

Which is utter dreck.

Someone on the committee needs to ask Hagel whether any money changed hands.

There have been rumors/speculation that upwards of $1 to $5 million may have been a part of the ‘exchange’.

WTF is he ranting about now? Gone from blaming Bush to Viet Nam. What does it have to do with the prisoner swap?

So this is how they Qut-a-deal with the Tali's not banned. Foxes on hen house guard duty.

CH waxing on about Vietnam, 1968, experiencing war, blah, blah, blah.

War is dirty business, don;t want to deal with these realities.

Faced with unpleasant choices.

Hard choices(there’s that term again) have to be made.

Hagel says President has constitutional authority to protect American citizens and soldiers, and that’s what he did.

Says he has always been transparent with this committee as SecDef,that’s what I demanded when I was on the other side as a Senate.

Circumstances surrounding my decision were imperfect, Prez is same decision.

Says he met with the special operators who retrieved Bergdahl, took risks to “recover one of their own”

Sorry, folks, can barely wade through all of this BS.

Hagel talks about how we always rescue Americans, especially those in the military. Why can’t we get that marine back from Mexico?

******
There were men left behind in Benghazi - what about those guys?
