The Obama Impeachment Bible
The American Spectator ^ | 6-10-14 | Jeffrey Lord

Bergdahl furor gives new mo to Andrew McCarthy’s book.

“Be careful how you make those statements, gentleman.” Barack Hussein Obama had been president of the United States for all of two months. He was lecturing the titans of American finance who were struggling to explain to him, a man with no meaningful business experience, how high salaries are necessary if American companies are to compete for talent in a global market.

“The public isn’t buying that,” scoffed the president. He wasn’t talking about the public, though. “My administration,” he warned, “is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.” The pitchforks: that’s his public.

So begins Andrew McCarthy’s new book Faithless Execution: Building the Political Case for Obama’s Impeachment. This book is definitively authoritative, a straightforward and objective look at a president whose appetite for lawlessness, fueled by an Alinskyite sense of self-righteousness, is as troubling in its own right as it is a disturbing warning about future presidents who might attempt to build on this particular Obama legacy. As the story about the president and the pitchforks illustrates, this is a president who sees himself not as faithfully executing his office — the rule of law — but sees himself instead, as McCarthy notes in his introduction, as the “ruler of law.”

Catch that? Liberal Turley says “….Barack Obama is really the president Richard Nixon always wanted to be. You know, he’s been allowed to act unilaterally in a way that we’ve fought for decades.”

I hate when people make such claims about Nixon. Nixon loved this country, and had no desire whatsoever to change its Constitutional system. All he wanted to do was the exact same things that Kennedy and Johnson had done. And then he discovered that those things can only be done by Democrat Presidents.

Congress & the Obamacrats have become dysfunctional codependents. Obama wants to destroy the Constitution's separation of powers and Congress likes getting paid with no accountability because Obama's doing everything.

It's not and never was up to the politicians. Unaccountable politicians is why we are where we are. It's up to the American people.

The American people are the only ones to make the politicians feel the heat. The American people are the only ones who can tell Congress, as Reagan said, "if you don't see the light, we'll make you feel the heat" with the unfeigned threat of THROWING THE BUMS OUT for not preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution.

It's up to the American people to pressure Congress into impeaching this renegade, dangerous President.

Nixon is way off point here. Obama is a clear and present danger to our free constitutional republic. Nevertheless, I think Nixon, unlike Obama, did love our country. However, like Obama, Nixon loved power and seemed willing to do whatever it took to get more of it.

Agreed. I mentioned this to my husband yesterday. We should stop putting all the blame on Obama for where we are. We need to blame the American people and the Congress for allowing him to be the lawbreaker that he is. right from the get-go. All the fol-de-rol and cover up about his birth cetificate, for instance. That should have been sorted out from the beginning.

And gun running, Benghazi, prisoner exchange; voter fraud; VA scandal; IRS scandal, etc. The government has run amok, and Obama is the biggest law breaker of them all. Impeach him.

He isn't going to be impeached. It would take a committed strong leader to organize it, and the GOP is full of lightweight also rans right now.
The only guy I see on TV that is making any noise about our very serious situation is Trump. While i’m glad someone is making some noise, Trump isn't going to be the next President

You know, I get and appreciate the impeachment movement, but and its a big but; its simply never going to happen. It can’t. congress would never go for it. If they attempted it, the Dem party machine would activate the ghetto into a frenzy of protests. And in the major metro areas, the ghetto rules. So, they can wreak havoc on business activities so that means big business won’t support impeachment; the corporate lobbiests will warn the congress critters they’re sugar daddy will cut off the goodies and see they go home broke. And face it, most of the congress critters are there for only one reason......to pocket fat off-the-books bucks which are offshored for them by the corporate lobbiests.

It’s up to us (that’s you and me) to pressure our representatives to follow the Constitution. The threat of impeachment would rein him in. Or, cause him to go further rogue so that we really would have a successful impeachment.

As I said, he was just trying to play be the rules that had allowed JFK and LBJ to do the exact same things, use the FBI and IRS against his political enemies. That is not the same thing as deciding that you don't need Congress to make laws, or that you can ignore the laws you don't like.

The mention of Nixon was indeed tangential to the article. I just like to make sure that people, at least conservatives, don't buy into that lie whenever I see it repeated. The comparison to Nixon minimizes the monstrosity of Obama. He has, not what Nixon wanted, but what Goebbels and Hitler wanted in their wildest dreams--an instantaneously accessible database of all the people in the world, an army of enforcers in the IRS, DOJ and other agencies, and ability to use his power to destroy his enemies and cow the population. Hitler had it easy, the Germans loved him and what he was doing. You just had to control a minority of dissenters. Obama is trying to gain control of a majority of Americans who don't want to be slaves to the state.

Yes. The uncommitted colonists said that the Patriots would never throw off George III’s yoke on us too. Those who stand in the middle are almost as much of a problem as those on the other side.

BTW, are you watching TURN on AMC? A very good (and accurate) depiction about how far the British pushed the colonists until they rebelled.

How true! Looking back at the presidents in that era, there were no good guys, really, but Nixon, with all his faults was at least a head above them. And, rather that subject the nation to a drawn-out head-hunting media frenzy, he did the honorable thing and stepped down. Clinton wouldn’t even give that thought a chance. He was too into himself...and the democrat mantra...”it’s for the kids...I have to do this for the kids...we’d be letting them down.” BS! Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama...all self-absorbed slimy dogs! UGH!

That is why it is up to us. No more money to our Senators and Reps unless they take their duties seriously and enforce the law. I get 5 or 6 requests per day for money for these turkeys. Just say “no” and tell them why.

Well, I’m actually not a defeatist. I think and hope that with some age and maturity under them the Gen X’ers and Milinnials will come to realize who’s really screwed them after 8 years of Obama and at least 4 under Hillary.

It’ll never happen unless we educate them. They are too busy with their Ipads and their social media to grasp the meaning of what is happening. We have to repeat the message loud and clear.

You're correct Impeachment is just not going to happen. It's interesting that leading Democrats are now up in arms a little over Bergdahl.

Obama is going to be in office for another 2.5 years, and their is nothing we can do about it.

If the Republicans take back the Senate, it is possible that we can stop loss some of the craziness.

But wait for more shoes to drop, there is more coming.
