There needs to be a serious investigation into this. Find out if the White House intentionally offerred up the top five taliban in trade in an effort to close Gitmo. The question needs to be asked because the Haqqani network although it is allied with the Taliban would have been more interested in the release of Haqqni detainees or money. So why would the Haqqani terrorist Network put more stock in the five top Taliban commanders and less stock in getting more money? If Obama intentionally let the Taliban leaders go it is treason.

He gets the majority of the black vote - about 13%, some Hispanics, another 13% and the hardcore Communist white who make up the balance.

Voila 38%

The US Constitution is stopping him
The 2nd Amendment is stopping him

Once he is out of office after his term, he will go down in history as the man who ended up:

1) Revitalizing the patriotism of our nation (making it clear just how unique and free we are via seeing how he’s deliberately thumbing his nose at us on the world stage)
2) Revitalizing American participation in the process of government (by blatantly acting out of line, people are remembering that we can’t just sit around and wait for a politico to come along to make things right again)
3) Making people wish for the days when celebrities didn’t DARE try to run the country via Hollywood and this time being vocal and proactive about it
4) Effectively destroying the electability of a radical Democrat for decades, if not a full century (everyone will remember Obama and his merry band of radicals for a long, long, long time)
5) “Remember Obama” will end up being the slogan for dozens of political candidates for the conservative party for decades
6) Destroyed the Clinton dynastic ambition (Hillary will remain tainted by this and certainly will not end up getting title of first female President of the US)
7) Making Americans value their guns and freedom of the press and also their national boundaries more than ever (his recent antics will likely rebound on any other Democrat and encourage tighter controls over immigration)
8) Race relations have effectively been neutralized (the race card has been rendered null and void forever now)

In his own perverse way, Obama has restored so much of the good things that our country lacked appreciation for.

Another reason why I think impeachment is very unlikely is that the denizens of Capitol Hill are all afraid that their own complicities, backroom dealings and accomodations could be exposed. When the SHTF everyone gets sullied so they would much prefer to find a more quiet way to deal with him.

As in the everyday working world, “removal” often takes the form of pushing someone out into the organizational equivalent of Siberia. A quarantine, if you will. So much easier than a messy firing that makes managers look bad.

Again, I would loved to be proven wrong about this and do concede that if a clearly psychologically unstable Obama steps too far over the line then the congress will have no choice.

Interesting take on the possible aftermath scenario of the Obama train wreck. You make some very insightful points.

Good, thoughtful post.

If 38 percent still approve of this bizarre imitation of a world leader that is a very high percentage of idiocy.

****************

Its very troubling, that’s for sure, but I suspect that this percentage might not be all that unusual. Even during the American Revolution there was a sizeable percentage of colonists who were sympathetic with the Crown, disengaged or apathetic. After the fact, of course, everyone jumps on the band wagon and claims they were for it all along. I could be wrong but think that today’s widespread ignorance is not all that unique as a historical or sociological phenomena.

There is much wisdom in what you say. But I keep hoping and praying and posting that this bastard needs to pay for the mess he created here. He shouldn’t be allowed to slither away into the rocks with his retirement and benefits pay by the taxpayer dollar after contributing so much to the wrecking of our national economy, our national healthcare system, our constitutional checks and balances, our borders and our position overseas.

I don’t view this as a partisan issue. I had posted here before he took over that his predecessor should have been impeached for IGNORING our border defenses and refusing to enforce our immigration laws.

Obama is but the last in a series of increasingly stupid or maligine incumbents who have undermind our Republic.

Hopefully Cantor’s defeat presages an awakening on the part of the American voters. Incumbent serial office holders who are wedded to the establishment must go.

Thanks; I think Obama only accelerated a process, going back to the days when Hollywood stayed in Hollywood, but people are becoming more aware of their inner dissatisfaction in life and how things have gone in this country. Obama’s election as president has made it clear that the US isn’t racist and there is no way in Hades that this country can ever be considered a racist nation.

Obama has, and continues to, create a mess. His party may pay big time for this in 2014 but even with an election debacle, I don’t see him “going away” after 2016.

He’s a narcissist and, barring a complete psychological breakdown (which I still think is a good possibility), he’s going to stick around and continue to play the only game that sustains him — politics.

Its going to be a never ending spectacle and thorn in the side for the next president. Assuming of course that Obama hasn’t found a clever way to further “extend” his presidency.

Try and lay a glove on that.

Wonderful irony! Considering that doing it your way, laying gloves on rightward movement has been totally elusive. Your way hasn't laid a glove on leftism. It's AIDED it.

You’re really an idiot….you dont know a thing about “my way” ...

Your way is to be too timid to pursue impeachment for fear of "rallying" Democrats.

Your way is to personally insult me as "an idiot" in need of "remedial reading comp" instead of considering the evidence that a lot more Americans despise Obama and big government than the Republican Establishment thinks. Your way is to personally insult those of us who view that evidence as presenting as an opportunity for "anti-establishment" thinking to advance.

You are so predictable.

Luke 18:14. Go learn.

We were FReeper comrades, you and I, back in the 2012 primaries, in our shared contempt for Santorum and preference for the not-so-bad best of a wimpy lot, Gingrich.

As for your "street cred" -- sure, Rove was ticked at you, I'd be proud of that, too, as well as having a published book. So ....? But your "street cred" had you posting in early November of 2012, that Obama's defeat was already in the cards, by golly!

I also thought Romney would win, and feared it would be a landslide. Indeed, I believe that Romney DID win in an honest count. Liberals are a minority, hence they must steal elections. Nonetheless I wanted Romney to lose and voted third party to at least contribute to a plurality. Apparently I was joined by many fellow Americans in refusing Romney in spite of the false "choice" of Obama, many more than I expected; it was gratifying.

Your "street cred" is was to berate those who refused to vote for a functional statist liberal, Romney, as indulging in the behavior of "an arrogant narcissist who thinks a vote is 'about you' -- when a vote is no such thing. A vote is about stewarding the choices you are given, and Goode is not a real choice. Adults, and those who aren’t consumed with some kind of holier than thou bullshit navel gazing attitude, understand this. Apparently, your combination of ignorance and arrogance led you to a perverted decision. Enjoy the purity of your own irrelevance.

*sigh*

Relax, for crying out loud. You remind me of my bitchy shrewish sister-in-law, the way you indulge your own bad temper by flinging personal insults. They are out of place and should be beneath you.

FYI...just in case you didn’t see it. This is a bi-partisan effort to reprimand Obama. Not much, but its a step closer to holding him accountable for his willful violation of the law with respect to the Bergdhal swap.
