It's a primary run-off state. The more the merrier for the first round to keep Linda under 50%. After that it will be one-on-one with the top two vote getters.

"Six" foes, is just too many. The opposition vote would be wayyyy too diluted. Just the opposite, actually - SC is a run-off state, so the more credible challengers on the ballot, the harder it is for Graham to get the 50%+1 he needs to avoid a run-off - and run-offs are bad news for incumbents, on the whole.
