“believed that the soldier’s life was in peril”

Sure. The same (rude word for fornication) (rude word for children born out of wedlock) let Americans die in Benghazi without lifting a finger.

(fornicating) hypocrites!

I’ve read that Congress opposed this specific trade a year earlier. Does Obama just have to tell Congress that he’s going to set Gitmo prisoners free, or does he need their approval in order to lawfully set them free (transfer them to their buddies who let them do what they want to do)? If it’s just a matter of telling Congress that you’re gonna do it, then why didn’t Obama make this trade 30 days after he floated that balloon to Congress a year ago?

This Carl Levin is saying Obama didn’t break the notification requirement because in December he had told Congress that he might “act quickly” on stuff like this. So are we supposed to believe that back in DECEMBER the Taliban told Obama that they were going to kill Bergdahl in May-June if he didn’t do the swap? Why was Obama trying to give himself legal leeway already in December???

Those lives obviously weren’t in peril - the former SEALs on top of the annex building taking RPG’s from well-prepared and militarily-supplied spontaneous protesters...

Hagel would need a ladder to get into a box of rocks.

Things that a box of rocks has that Hagel lacks: 1. Intelligent thought 2. Loyalty 3. Honesty 4. Patriotism 5. The ability to reason Feel free to add your own.

Hagel likes shiny objects...

Funny, I always heard that obama's huevos were small and shriveled, well that's what Reggie said!

"It was our judgment, and it was unanimous by the way .. that we didn't want to take any chance here." He said the secretary of defense, the secretary of state, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, director of national intelligence, and attorney general, had all come to the same conclusion.

Back in the 70's, Doonesbury did a cartoon of the White House surrounded by a giant stone wall erected by all the president's men.

Looks like the wall is back up.

10 out of 10 idiots who support Islamic jihad recommend releasing jihadis to their president who supports jihad.

Settled science.

"Decision to free U.S. soldier Bergdahl was unanimous: Hagel (believed soldier's life "in peril") ..."

..... So many out there in Low-Information land do not realize that, Obama, in doing so to prevent the death of the questionable Bowe Bergdahl ..... has in that same single feebleminded stroke ... condemned many more Americans as well as other freedom loving people to death from the repercussions and consequences of what he has just so carelessly and recklessly done.
