The recession was over a long time ago.
It has been a full-blown depression since about 2010 or so. And if anybody recalls anything about the Great Depression, it was much worse in 1938, than it was in 1932, precisely BECAUSE of the “National Recovery Act” and the “New Deal”.
The extended recession of the time would have been over by 1935 if NOTHING had been done. But NOOOO, they had to keep trying to “fix” things.
Hey, it was working for Mussolini in Italy and Hitler in Germany.
Not to defend Roosevelt, but at least all that spending got us stuff, like dams, and National Park trails. In Obama’s Great Depression, we are sinking deeper into debt with nothing to show for it except a bunch of tit suckers.
