“Free trade” except for imports of inexpensive solar modules, lumber, most small diesel engines,...—the kinds of products often used by those trying to save money by doing things for themselves.
“Free trade” is never free. No matter what country is involved. We’re gonna pay one way or another.
We get cheap solar panels from China and look at we owe the Chinese .
Or pay near double for the same panels that are made in the USA, we buy less of them because of the cost, panel mfrs get tax breaks or crony capitalism takes hold.
It’s the same story with just about anything.
I’ll buy American made first, America needs to get with the program and quit ripping us off.
