Sidenote: when did the acronym SPOX for spokesman come into usage? Sure it’s pronounced “spokes” but my mind reads it as S-pox, just like a STD, and ever so appropriate for this administration.
Seriously, is it just because no one wanted to spell out "spokesman", "spokeswoman" or (for the gender sensitivity afflicted), "spokesperson"?
