Did Obama violate the NATO Treaty by releasing Gitmo prisoners?

(Please excuse the vanity but I did do a diligent search and didn't find a current news article addressing this issue.)

The Afganistan War is a war conducted under the auspices of NATO, with some 28 nations cooperating with each other to achieve their goals, some by providing troops and some by providing funds. Not all prisoners at Gitmo were captured by US forces; some prisoners were captured by NATO forces and ended up at Gitmo. So while the USA provides the jail cells and the meals, aren't Gitmo prisoners from the battlefields of Afganistan actually NATO prisoners, and not just US prisoners - that is, we have custody but not exclusive possession?

If the released prisoners are NATO enemy combatants, did Obama violate in any way the NATO treaty by making an independent decision to release prisoners without obtaining consensus of coalition force nations or at least notifying the member nations? Did Obama violate the treaty or any agreement with the UN, specifically, by releasing Mullah Mohammad Fazi, wanted by the UN for war crimes?

No.

They3y were held at GITMO and incarcerated under USMCJ and awaiting disposition.

Obama fixed that.

I look for him to empty GITMO under humanitarian exigencies.

“It goes against our spirit of American ideal. It’s not who we are as a people to hold someone indefinitely.

I am therefore releasing them.

It’s what good Christians should do”.

To which I say:
“Vendome’s version of a just and proper punishment:

I would chain their hands and legs, then pull them up four flights of metal fire escape stairs, feet first.

Then I would kicked them in the family jewels just enough to cause a stomach ache every 15 minutes for 8 hours.

After that I would push them out a window letting them fall four stories into a pile of razor wire 5 rolls high and 5 rolls wide.

They could lay in the pile of razor wire for two days in the desert sun and then I would release a flock of crows and 1 gallon of scarabs right next to them.

But that’s just me.
