Everyone knew we were working/negotiating with the Taliban...that was in the media reports....but a trade and the release of 5 monsters was not part of that news at any point in time until it was over.
I'll bet the person that knows the most is the CIA dude who got outed. I think he's a dead man walking.

It was considered to be too high a price, until now. I'll leave it to you to speculate what changed.
