“Our future is 1979”
Oh lord I hope not. 1979 sucked. I was there, and remember. Definitely sucked. Big time. A few examples of the suckage: stagflation, the misery index, home mortgage rates hovering around 20%, the AMC pacer, the Chevette, disco, the village people. I could go on but I’m starting to get a migraine from the memories.

The only upside to it was future President Reagan was beginning his Long March to the White House. There’s nothing that indicates America will ever elect another like him again.
