The Obama administration, after failing to get gun control passed on Capitol Hill, has resorted to using its executive power to try to put some in the firearms industry out of business, House Republican investigators say.
The assertion is included in a report recently released by California GOP Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
Citing internal Justice Department documents, the committee concluded that the administration used a program known as Operation Choke Point to target legal companies that it finds “objectionable.”
The program was started in 2013 to protect consumers by “choking” alleged fraudsters’ access to the banking system. The Justice Department essentially forces banks and third-party payment processors to stop accepting payments from companies that are considered “high risk” and are supposedly violating federal law.
However, the documents released by Issa’s committee show the federal government lumped the firearms industry in with other "high-risk" businesses including those dealing with pornography, drug paraphernalia, escort services, racist materials, Ponzi schemes and online gambling.
The committee also reported that Attorney General Eric Holder was informed the program has been shutting down legal businesses.
“We have documented that they are going after gun and ammunitions manufacturers, gun sellers and non-deposit lenders. Their own memos show they are well beyond enforcing the law,” Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-Mo., said Friday.

No one in the executive branch of government has any business arbitrarily defining what businesses are and are not to be “allowed”.
If our representatives in Congress want to pass a law, go for it.
Can they just come out and say they want to take our guns tomorrow and stop all this sneaky lawyer shiitte. Let’s get the war started so we can end this battle.
Does this mean that a conservative president can do the same with groups he finds objectionable? Can we add unions to the list? What about Planned Parenthood? Maybe even CAIR?
After all, turn about is fair play right?

The development of a Fascist State like Hitler had in 1930’s Germany, and what Obama almost has now in the nearly former USA, depends upon opposition leaders who refuse to lead the opposition, but continue to stay in power by support of their morally weak supporters.
The last attempt to oppose Obama failed when Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and McCain caved in to the stonewalling refusal to negotiate by Reid and Obama in late 2013 and early 2014.
Until effective voter pressure can be brought to bear on the Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate to replace the Republican Leadership in the House and Senate, Obama will continue to “Fundamentally transform the United States of America” into the most powerful Fascist Empire that the World has ever known.
Will these opposition Congressmen and women act before the November 2014 Election, or will they continue to wait to lose again, as usual, to the Left Wing, low information Voter in November, 2014?
BTW, money and reason are wasted on multimillionaire career politicians as they cannot be bought or convinced - - - they are the hardened professional criminal politicians that we have, for decades, elected and tolerated, gratefully for the “free” stuff that they have bought our votes with.
Obama is just doing as he was raised up to do, and will never change.
Our opposition Republican Leaders are doing everything that they can to make sure Obama is successful, and they will never change.
The change must come from opposition House Members and Senators in “both” parties, before low-information voters have made up their minds about whether or not to continue the status quo.
The Summer of 2014 is the last chance for We, the People to force our House and Senate Members to change their leadership before Labor Day, 2014, when early voting begins?

Congress can act like Holder and the President and simply make up law. They can issue funds to create a bank that will cater to gun and ammunition sales companies.
Let Holder come after THAT.

We obviously have an executive branch that does not recognize the limits of its power under the Constitution. What does it take for the House to simply defund the executive branch in its entirety? It could be done. We already have a Constitutional crisis, it’s simply a matter of when Congress will exercise it’s power to stop it. I guarantee you that Obama already has a plan in place to try to suspend the Constitution, and assume full dictator powers.
