It’s more dangerous than that. I’ll grant some similarities, but the EU has a USSR-style government if not any of the surveillance state or size of secret police it wants under the Stockholm Program.

Granted. I’m no historian, but when you say, “It’s more dangerous than that,” it leads me to imagine all sorts of conflict breaking out.
And that was really my point - that it could all come to military conflict; which is what I believe you’re implying (correct me if I’m wrong).
