Take the current budget of the VA, divide by the number of vets served, give the vets a voucher for that amount which they can use towards getting a plan from the provider of their choice.
That makes entirely too much sense. They’ll never go for it.

Then we can calc amount available per each. I imagine there would be savings.
If Obama were to ask Romney to take over the VA, I recommend Romney respond as follows: “No, but I would take this: Force Biden to resign, appoint me as VP, then you resign. I’ll put you in charge of the VA for at least one year to show us what you can do. Take it or leave it.”
We could do the same for the entire government. And be more efficient. Even the Pentagon would become a triangle.
