(CNSNews.com) – Author and retired pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson said at a National Press Club luncheon that the reason for the “sluggish growth” of the U.S. economy is because of bad policy.

“And why do we have such sluggish growth?” Carson said on Wednesday in Washington, D.C. “Because we have asinine economic policies.”

Carson, who gained a following after remarks he made about the “moral decline” of the nation in a speech at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast, told an appreciative audience that they should think about that fact concerning the economy.

I absolutely love this guy. Speaks from the heart, smart, hates all the race baiting and political correctness.

And most of all, he hates Obamacare.

The only knock I’ve heard against Carson is that he is weak on the 2nd amendment. I’m not all that concerned about that. What I am concerned about is employment and economy. Now I know he is too. If he’s not in the Oval Office, he needs to be in the Cabinet.

Captain Obvious alert.

The guy doesn’t even understand or respect the 2nd Amendment. I think he just likes attention.

Dr. Carson, You are an incredible man. A role model for any child, anywhere. In reference to the other article posted here: These asinine economic polices are partially the result of compromising fiscal Conservative principles. We’ve had enough.

Most Pediatric doctors struggle with this issue.

U.S. economic problems are 100% governmental and could be changed by a different Administration overnight.

Here are the replacement policies (just in case anyone in DC actually *wants* a robust economy):

Approve the Keystone Pipeline.

Approve the Columbia River fresh-water aquaduct from the mouth of the Pacific Ocean (where fresh-water is currently dumped wastefully into the salt-water ocean) down to California’s drought-stricken Central Valley and LA.

Approve more LNG export terminals (Germany, Japan, and the Ukraine need *lots* of natural gas from non-Russian suppliers).

Use federal law to override state/city zoning red tape, end healthcare red tape, and give away a little of the massive stockpile of federal land to create Oklahoma-style land rushes.

Wouldn’t hurt to give amnesty for those holding their U.S. funds offshore if they repatriate said funds into U.S. investments, either...$1 Trillion in U.S. assets resides offshore currently.

Bring that money home, Baby!

You forgot, “Until further notice, no department, bureau, or agency of the US government shall offer, promulgate, consider, discuss or issue any regulation of any kind upon any topic. Violators, whether persons or groups of persons, will be deemed to have resigned from their work positions, and such resignations will be accepted immediately.”

I do too.

I like Thomas Sowell for the same reason I like Dr. Ben Carson but I do not see either as President although either would be a vast improvement.
