Seattle usually just gets drizzle which doesn’t add up that much. But much greater proportion of the time precipitating in some fashion (in the winter) than Houston.

I don’t think it has been that bad. We had some days of heavy rain, but we had a lot of nice days this winter and spring. I thought we were having a good weather year.

To a Houstonian that used to live in Olympia and Tacoma, the lack of storms was maddening, it was always drizzling, but almost never really rained.

The 24 hour record in America, was 43 inches, on the outskirts of Houston.
