More Americans continue to identify themselves as conservatives than as liberals on economic and social matters. However, the conservative advantage on each dimension is shrinking from higher points in recent years, down to 21 points on economic policy and four points on social policy.

On economic issues, the self-labeled liberals in that party outnumber the self-labeled conservatives by 15 points. Welfare state, entitlements, unemployment for forever, obamaphones, obamacare, obamanomics...
On social issues, the self-labeled liberals among the Democrat party outnumber the self-labeled conservatives by 36. Abortion on demand, forced celebration of sodomy, rejection of the death penalty, all celebrated by Democrats.
The Republican party is very different. Conservatives outnumber liberals by 61 points on economic issues and 49 points on social issues.
Nevertheless, the nation as a whole is RAPIDLY going south on social and economic issues....I believe this is a result of the God of our fathers being abandoned. He is pushed out of society, men who assert Biblical principles are ridiculed and mocked--while men who spit in the face of Judeo-Christian ethics like: marriage and respect of unborn life and the Pauline adage of “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.” (2 Thessalonians 3:10) and "Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever" (1 Timothy 5:8) are applauded.
Maybe the Left is but I can assure that’s not the case for Christians on the right. We are adding more and more numbers daily...
The government buying people’s dependency with other people’s money is the cause. Along with many other things, all of which are bad, abandoning God is the result.
