If the family is poorly educated and suspicious of medicine, I understand their move of their loved one from what they must see as a house of death. However, this risks calamity for the family, the town and the entire region. Very scary.
Scary, indeed.
Or what if they're just suspicious of medicine? What's going to happen in the US when (not if) there are forced isolations in quarantine wards for those who are suspected of having a highly contagious and deadly disease? What if we're told we can't quarantine ourselves at home?
It's already happened. On cruise ships, a person with norvo virus or any other highly contagious disease is forced to stay in their cabins. In the US, there were forced quarantines in hospital wards for those who were suspected of having swine flu (been there, done that, couldn't even get out immediately upon the testing showing I didn't have swine flu!)
