it used to be, back when reality existed, anyone who victimized another person and was prosecuted and jailed for their crime, they lost their rights to everything except to eat, breath and drink water. No wonder crime is out of control in the US.

Agreed...Prisons would be a more effective deterrent if criminals and especially traitors feared ending up there should they first be spared their lives.

In Lindh's case his life should have not been spared.
