Government Agency Scraps Employee Ratings To Avoid ‘Discrimination’

One government agency has decided that the results of employee ratings are too discriminatory, and eliminated the process entirely. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau announced on Monday that it will now award all employees the highest rating regardless of performance reviews.

The CFPB, which oversees transactions in the financial sector for the federal government, decided to no longer conduct employee reviews because there were just too many apparent “significant disparities” between the races, ages, and locations of its employees.

According to American Banker, this new policy is set to cost over $5 million dollars, as it will now pay employees as if they received the highest evaluation score. The previous system ranked staff on their performance from a scale ranging from one to five, with five being the best score a CFPB staffer could receive after a review of their work on the job.

If this isn’t over-the-top, gaming the system then what is?

Everyone involved in this decision should be fired and never allowed to “Work” in government again

The clinton administration did something like that for the same “discriminatory” reason. At a top secret facility, employees had to wear different colored badges. If you wore one certain color badge, that meant you belonged in one part of the building, but not another. The clinton administration scrapped this security measure because they felt it was “discriminatory”. I bet foreign spies had a field day.

It’s even better than Lake Wobegon. Not only are all of the employees above average, they’re all superior employees. Isn’t leftist “reality” wonderful?

Then that agency has just gone rogue, and is in violation of every Office of Personnel Management regulation.

Just one more useless agency whose only purpose is to reward political hacks and contributors. This new superfluous bureaucrappy should be aborted ASAP. Meanwhile, the less effective it is in meddling with the Obama- depressed economy, the better. So it’s a good idea they are gonna collect incompetent employees ( by not even bothering to hold them to minimal job performance standards). Incredible, but good

The real upshot of this means that all government employees will get “high performance” bonuses.
Their union will crank about how little their base salaries increase every year.

Smells like BS to me. How would that be fair for the employees in other government agencies where a 5 rating is difficult to obtain.

If true is a just a another Raping of the Treasury under the guise of Equal Opportunity. Whites mustn’t be allowed to walk away with the best bonus even if people of color are just sitting around tweeting and surfing the net.

And what about that “pay freeze” if you are awarded the highest performance rating and the bonus cash that goes with it on an annual basis?

According to American Banker, this new policy is set to cost over $5 million dollars, as it will now pay employees as if they received the highest evaluation score.

This is all so predictable. After paying everybody at the highest performance rating for a few years productivity will drop off. Then someone will come up with the predictable solution of rewarding those employees that are extra, extra superior performers with an additional bonus. They call it level 6 and maybe a level 7 for those that are triple extra superior performers. The deadwood will remain as 5's of course.

Then the process will repeat itself.
