In elections to the European "Parliament," political parties opposed to the ongoing EU takeover made massive gains.
Anti-EU Parties Soar in "Political Earthquake" Elections
The New American
26 May 2014
With European Union bosses working overtime to finish crushing what remains of national sovereignty and self-government in Europe, the public across much of the bloc appears to have had enough. In elections to the European Parliament not a true legislative body in the traditionally understood sense of the word, but the only elected outfit in Brussels nonetheless political parties opposed to the ongoing EU takeover made massive gains. Meanwhile, in another troubling omen for the super-state and its proponents, less than 45 percent of eligible voters actually cast a ballot in elections held over the last several days.

They are also anti-capitalist and anti-immigration. It’s like it’s an odd group of liberal xenophobes.
These are odd times.
He says his computer models identify this period as the rise of the third party and predicts the Republican Party will split in the 2016 election...
Then, perhaps, a conservative party can take it's place.

It already has. People just want to cling to the Reagan era. But when he left, the GOP reverted.
All us ‘Former” republicans growing in number prove the split has already happened. All that remains is finding out whether or not the yellow streak on election day was temporary or permanent.
Reagan could not pass the current “Conservative Litmus Test.”
That us what screwed us in the last 2 POTUS elections.
You can thank Conservative Purists for obozocare.
Bull. I think we are all getting tired of people that say stuff like that. If you want to blame someone, then get it right.
I hear you.
Just speculation, but I could see Palin leading this - if she puts herself unequivocally forward to lead.
... and stops the screechy voice*

My thoughts exactly..
You can see from that list why I couldn't vote for Romney.
The GOP can't even field candidate that meets their own platform.

... broader reporting of impact throughout europe.
Interesting. I wouldn’t be surprised. And, quite frankly, I hope it does split.
I like Sarah but she has no interest in “leading”. Actually leading is very different from being a “leading voice”.
Same here. They don’t have to be “perfect” but they sure can’t be idiots (Romney) or Dim-lite (Bush). I guess Romney was both of those.
“It already has. People just want to cling to the Reagan era. But when he left, the GOP reverted.”
Agreed.
It is worth noting that the Central Republican Party did not like Reagan. They were forced to accept him when he won. Everyone likes a winner. They, however, did not change their beliefs.
Political oligarchs mouth the words people want to hear in order to retain power. It happens every election cycle. Conservatives here and elsewhere really believed Mitt RINOmney had changed and was a conservative now, despite the evidence. They believed it about McLame.
They will believe it about Jeb Bush or RINOmney II. They’ll condemn everyone who doesn’t believe it.
“Reverted” is the correct word. Perhaps “took their masks off is a good phrase.”
“That us what screwed us in the last 2 POTUS elections.”

Having weak candidates didn’t help. You have to be able to convince people to vote for your vision and ideas a la Ronald Reagan. The message has to be strong, consistent and clear. The two previous candidates failed to make their case IMO.
>>I’m not looking for perfection. But a candidate has to have a history of being pro-life, pro-gun, against socialized medicine, against amnesty, and for smaller government.<<
Thus, you gave us... OBOZO!
Good work! America and (more importantly its children and children’s children) thank you!
>>You can see from that list why I couldn’t vote for Romney.<<
Yeah, that worked.
I can get you a time machine to transport back so you can not vote against FDR.
>>Bull. I think we are all getting tired of people that say stuff like that. If you want to blame someone, then get it right.<<
And who do we have as president?
Are you happy you put him in office? Not only do you and I have to deal with his ineptness, your children and grand children and great grandchildren will, too.
Good work. Your purity test worked perfectly.
You'll do it again in 2016, and give us 8 years of Hillary.
Your party loves open primaries so that liberal democrats can pick the nominees for your party. They love starting the primaries in liberal eastern states.
That's what gave us Obama.
And with all your whining, you still aren't going to get conservatives to vote for your liberal republican candidates.
