If somebody loses a child to a drunk driver, does the family of the victim blame the auto industry or the alcohol industry (or their lobbies) for the death? No, they put the blame squarely where it belongs: on the drunk driver. Yet the same people are conditioned to throw the same logic out the window when firearms are involved.
