Lock up the mentally ill. It is easy to know the criteria, because anyone who is prescribed with anti-psychotics has been proven to be unfit in the society. They needs to be LOCKED UP until they are no longer in need of those drugs (for most, it is life long).
These people cannot be reasoned with and a free society suffers from their derangement.
Can't. States don't have the money and the ACLU says its unfair that they're locked up.

I agree. Once you’ve been on anti-psychotics, like lithium, you aren’t EVER going to be normal again.
This isn’t like anyone is advocating for the detention of a man who refuses to brush his teeth in the morning. We’re talking about folks that have PROVEN to be permanently unstable.
One other thing, we let sociopaths run free, hold office, join law enforcement and so forth and in my opinion, sociopaths are worse then psychotics!!
My oldest sister developed mental problems a little less than 40 years ago. She has been taking medication for her condition since then, during which time she finished college, attended nursing school, and worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years. She also married and raised a family, and has never attacked or injured anyone. According to you, she should have been locked up for most of her life instead.
I will refrain from expressing my personal opinion of you and those on this thread who have agreed with your position.
Then anyone the government wants to lock up will first be given an obamacare physical and then given a scrip for anti-psychotics on their way to lock up where they will be forcibly drugged.
You don't want to give the government that kind of power.
